My retail environment requires a specific flag or attribute on products/customers/etc. How do I get that added?

Fieldpine is built using an extensible engine and we specifically allow new attributes. Send us an email explaining the need and details and we will look at adding it. Depending on what it is, it may be visible and useable in a short period of time.

And yes, you can generally customise sales flow around these flags, or print on receipts etc.

What about database backups?

If you are running self hosted, then backups are your responsibility.

With Fieldpine Online, we maintain backups to recover should disaster befall us, but these backups are not available directly. You can extract all data (see question above), into your own database that you house, and from there you can do whatever you like.
